What is service booking software?

Service booking software lets customers choose a service from your menu, pick a staff member and a time, and book online. DaySchedule shows your categories, prices and durations on one booking link, so it can replace a printed price list and phone bookings.

Can one service have different prices and durations?

Yes. Each service has one row per option, with a name, duration, amount and currency. A haircut could be 30 minutes for short hair and 60 minutes for long hair, each at its own price.

Can customers choose their staff member?

Yes. Customers can pick a specific staff member assigned to the service, or choose Any Available Staff on the booking page.

How is staff availability calculated?

A service menu has no schedule of its own. DaySchedule uses the default schedule of each team member on the service, together with their connected calendar. Change someone’s hours under Availability.

Can customers pay for a service when they book?

Yes. Connect a payment gateway and select it on the Payment tab. The amount comes from the service the customer picks. See accept payments for bookings.

Is service booking included in the free plan?

Services are a premium resource type, so you need a paid plan to use them. See pricing for the plans, or follow the service booking guide to set up your menu.
